An Open Invitation to Residents from the University : A 12 MINUTE BURST OF PYROTECHNICS 'THE MOST IMPRESSIVE DISPLAY CHESTER HAS EVER SEEN' : 8pm Saturday 21st March to mark their 175th Anniversary and takeover of the former Weston Command site. The University has kindly replied with some further clarification. It seems that you'll be wasting your time if you turn up at 7pm as advertised as you won't get in. The only part of the event for public consumption will be the fireworks at 8pm.
Dear Handbridge Life, I am writing to advise you in relation to your query on the Chronicle's Facebook page. To clarify: Tickets are needed to access the site's events, including the student band, and these have all been allocated to staff, students and community representatives (including those from Handbridge). The letters that have gone out to Handbridge residents are to advise them that the event is happening and will be clearly visible in the area; this is not a ticket. We are unable to allow any people without tickets on to the site, as we are bound by the Events Licence from the Council. We hope that residents will be able to view the display safely from The Groves or the Walls as this will provide an excellent view. The University's up-to-date information is here: http://www.chester.ac.uk/node/29661 Kind regards, University of Chester
